Dr. Sarah Smith’s quality standards include the highest levels of clinical excellence. She’s also very caring and comforting, and treats everyone like family. She honestly cares for each person’s well-being, and daily serves as a role model for how to be giving and caring to all.

If you ask her when her passion for dentistry began, she’ll say it was when she was 9 years old! Her first dental degree was awarded in the Dominican Republic. After moving to the U.S., she completed her doctorate at the University of Buffalo in 1996, and her residency at The Genesee Hospital in Rochester soon after. She has been practicing in the Rochester area ever since, and serving patients in her current office since 2000.

Dr. Smith is a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Society and an active member of the Monroe County Dental Society. She is also a member of the Hispanic Business association, and is completely fluent in both English and Spanish languages.

She is married, has a son and daughter, and enjoys spending time with her family. She regularly reaches out to our local community through volunteer initiatives such as Dentistry from the Heart, and loves participating in dental missions work abroad.

Dijonnaise Norman

Dijonnaise loves being a part of this team, helping provide people with healthy smiles. She calls it “a pleasure and an honor to work with such a smart, genuine person as Dr Smith.”

Born in Rochester, Dijonnaise moved to Bradenton, FL, where she graduated from Southeast High School. She moved back to Rochester in 2011 and began studies at Monroe Community college. Dijonnaise liked medical fields in general, but at first was unsure exactly what to get into. Then, in the Fall of 2013 she enrolled in the Dental Assistant program at Monroe 2 BOCES in Spencerport. The very first week she knew she’d found something she’d enjoy for the rest of her life. Loving everything about it, Dijonnaise graduated in 2014 and soon after started working with Dr. Smith.

Christina Rapp

Christina helps everyone with insurance, credit, or other financing issues. And—as anyone who deals with her knows—she’s a warm-hearted and genuine “people person.”

Her dental career began in 2007 as a chair-side assistant to Dr. Smith. Since then, she gradually transitioned into her present, dual role of Insurance Specialist and Financial Coordinator.

Not everyone’s good at multi-tasking, but Christina is! While working with Dr. Smith, she also graduated from Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage, and got her New York State Massage Therapy license in March, 2013. Christina found her passion providing medical massage and holistic wellness after becoming an end-of-life volunteer with Lifetime Care.

Christina enjoys taking Continuing Education courses to further improve herself in both dentistry and massage therapy. She also likes traveling, camping, SUP Yoga, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Carla Rumble, RDH

Carla believes good oral hygiene requires a team approach, where hygienist and patient both take a personal and active role in achieving and maintaining long term oral health. She’s a great listener, as well as an educator and life-long learner. She feels it’s her duty to always keep up with the latest advances in dental hygiene. That way her patients can trust her advice, know all their options, and are more empowered to make the best choice for their individual needs. Carla enjoys getting to know each person individually, and finding out what motivates them. She provides excellent care in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.

Carla has been providing dental hygiene services at Dr. Sarah Smith’s office since 2005. She received her license to practice Dental Hygiene from Monroe Community College in 1998, and since 2008 has also been licensed to provide local infiltration anesthesia.

Outside her career she enjoys a highly active family life with her husband and three children. She relaxes by going to the gym, reading, taking walks, and listening to music.

Michele Wansha, RDH

Michelle says, “I want to show everyone an environment where they can feel comfortable—where they’re gently and thoroughly cared for. When I’m able to see someone who was once apprehensive about dental care relax in trust and feel good about their smile again—that’s why I do what I do.”

Michelle loves serving and ministering to those in need. She herself comes from a family of nurses and caregivers, and feels fortunate to be part of a team that embraces continuing education and treats everyone as family.

Michelle graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from Monroe Community College in 1987. She went on to earn her Bachelors of Science Degree, Summa Cum Laude, from SUNY Brockport in 1995. Her next goal is to gain her Masters.

Michelle lives in Irondequoit with her husband, son and daughter. Her free time is devoted to friends and family, as well as reading and writing. She has taught Sunday School, lead a Girl Scout Troop, and loves working with children.

Robyn Cribbin

Robyn is thrilled to have joined the Full Heart family in 2016! She is ready at the front desk to handle all of your scheduling needs. She has found working with Dr. Smith to be absolutely wonderful and thoroughly enjoys being surrounded by such incredible and inspiring women.

Born and raised in Rochester, Robyn started her dental career as an assistant for a number of years before leaving to pursue a degree. She earned her Bachelor’s in history in 2007 and married her wonderful husband a month later. After holding a position in a variety of fields she is so happy to be back in dentistry.

In her spare time she enjoys reading high fantasy, watching sci-fi, and gardening. Robyn is also an accomplished photographer, and took all of these team photos.

A lovely arrangement of mostly green and purple flowers.
